DoubleThis lovingly converted granite barn is set in tranquil countryside adjacent to the magnificent Luxulyan Valley, a World Heritage Site of outstanding beauty that just begs to be explored. Views from the garden encompass the owner's fields and woodland, where bird watching hides and benches allow this wildlife haven to be appreciated.
This is an idyllic spot, perfect for dog walking or just sitting and relaxing. Detached and with only the owner and Snuggledown (1975) as unobtrusive neighbours, Trethevey is ideal for families or groups of friends. It can also be booked alongside Snuggledown for memorable multi-generational holidays. The lovely owner is truly welcoming and a cream tea awaits guests on arrival.
Trethevey has a large sitting-room with comfortable soft leather sofas, a wood-burner and steep wooden stairs leading up to a gallery-area, a perfect den for older children. There is a Sky digibox providing Freesat channels and guests can bring their own viewing cards if they wish to access other channels or Sky films.
French doors lead onto the patio and lawn where a wooden table and chairs ideal for some al fresco dining in the warm weather. Two single bedrooms share a shower-room downstairs while upstairs, tucked under the sloping ceilings of the eaves, one double bedroom has an en suite shower-room and the other an en suite bathroom.
This is a beautiful area to explore, with the picturesque sailing town of Fowey, the Eden Project and lovely Cornish gardens at Lanhydrock and Heligan all within a few miles.
Well behaved dogs are extremely welcome, but please ensure they are kept on leads if there is livestock in the surrounding fields.
Please note that the rural location means that WiFi can be patchy but the owner is happy for guests to use her connection if they need to.
