This gorgeous newly renovated two bedroomed property dates back as far as the 13th Century and today fuses history with modern contemporary style. The pretty courtyard, with its bistro table and chairs, welcomes you as you walk up the path to enter the light-filled entrance hall with its cute Joules inspired cloakroom. Up a few steps you'll come across the gorgeous kitchen, where you will find a sleek and modern design with a built-in seating area and large window overlooking the courtyard. Climbing the historic staircase you will find the first of the two bedrooms, a twin room with a view of the courtyard and Dean's house. This sunny room with its intriguing furniture has been beautifully designed using a heritage palette. The shower-room is next door, perfect for a refreshing and energizing start to the day. Make your way up to the second floor, mind your head as this is an old and quirky house, and the staircase has a low sloping ceiling, which all adds to the charm. The king-size bedroom is on the top floor, spacious, bright and restful. Look for the historic etching on the original window, probably made by a maid in the 18th Century.

St Peter's House is set in a unique position in the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral; you can even see the spires from the staircase window. A visit to Gloucester Cathedral is to step back in time, to when it began as a 7th Century religious house, survived the dissolution of the monasteries and today remains a busy working church with magnificent architecture and famed for its well-known filming locations. It is even said that William the Conqueror commissioned the Doomsday book in the Chapter House. Just outside the gates is the house, now a museum and shop, which inspired Beatrix Potter to write the tale of The Tailor of Gloucester.
Gloucester Docks invite you to explore the Victorian Dock buildings, restaurants, cafes and interesting museums. The Gloucester Food Dock is home to 14 independent eateries. The National Waterways Museum documents 200 years of the history of the docks. Browse among antiques shops, dine in artisan cafes and restaurants in Tetbury and Stroud, and a visit to King Charles' Garden at Highgrove is a must for garden lovers. Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are picturesque and filled with individual shops. One visit will never be enough.
