This beautifully presented retreat is perfect for exploring the unspoilt countryside which surrounds it. From the beautiful woodland trails and hikes which lead from your doorstep to the unspoilt and vast lands of Dartmoor being within a short car drive away. For those looking to relax and unwind, whilst enjoying the finest and most unspoilt surroundings, Prestons Barn is the perfect rural retreat for you. Especially as you can bring your four-legged friends along too.

Prestons Barn is bright, contemporary and comfortable. The fabulous design of the sitting-room allows it to become super light and airy in the summer months, flinging open those huge windows which look out onto your private patio gives you a real feel of being outside, from the comfort of the living area. In the cooler months, the glorious wood-burner creates that super cosy feeling, cuddling up with a book or your favourite soap on TV is the perfect way to finish any day. Or perhaps you seek total peace and quiet to truly relax, if so the second snug area is beautifully tucked away on the first floor mezzanine level, offering a wonderful space to really kick-back.

When it comes to retiring for the night, you are treated to two beautifully designed bedrooms, both with en suites, making Prestons Barn the perfect choice for two couples looking to spend quality time together, yet having oodles of private space to retreat to.

Stepping outside, you are treated to a delightful patio area, fully equipped with barbecue and comfy seating. This space is fully enclosed; therefore you can leave your four-legged friends to explore, with the peace of mind they can't get up to any mischief. You also have the use of the paddock to the left of the house, which is a real treat for those woofers who like to chase a ball. Please however be aware that at certain times of the year, this paddock will be occupied by a new set of neighbours in the form of some rather friendly sheep. When the paddock is occupied, naturally it is not to be accessed.

The owners also have a very large yet friendly dog, who will also utilise the paddock when free. If you or your dog are not comfortable with crossing paths with the neighbouring dog, please don't be concerned, as Prestons Barn's grounds are fully enclosed from anyone else bar you.

Reached via a network of pretty country lanes, tucked behind the owners' home but incredibly private, this is an idyllic rural location if you are seeking peace and tranquility.

There is a wealth of information in the cottage so that you can choose a walking route that suits you, along with the super friendly owners who would be happy to assist in help plotting a course. To enjoy this beautiful spot and all that surrounds it is key to truly making the most of your splendid location.

Even though Prestons Barn is so peaceful and remote, only 15 minutes away you have the lively market town of Crediton. Here you can source anything and everything required to stock up on the finest foods for that special evening meal. Crediton's thriving town centre also offers a plethora of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, so go on, treat yourself to a traditional Devon cream tea or a pint of the local brew.

For the shoppers in the group, the stunning Cathedral City of Exeter is under 30 minutes away in the car. Exeter is full of independent shops, eateries and bars, all set in the most magical setting, steeped in history. Slightly further afield you will find the glorious south Devon coast. Pack the car, load the dog(s) and prepare for a magical day whichever spot of the coast you venture to.

Not forgetting that breathtaking Dartmoor National Park is only a short car journey away. Trekking through these stunning moors is a real treat, perfected by stopping at one of the numerous watering holes along the way, Dartmoor and all its magic is the ideal day out for all generations.
