Tucked away within an ethereal and enchanting estate in south west Cornwall, semi-detached Bellot is a delightful double en suite holiday cottage for four lucky guests. The architecture, which dates back centuries, features marvellous high ceilings and beautiful beams and has been sympathetically restored by the owners to create the most wonderful holiday bolthole. Powered by solar panels and a biomass boiler, this fabulous home doesn't compromise on caring for the environment.

Featuring all ground floor accommodation (with just a single step into the property), there are gorgeous double doors that you can open up to allow the clean Cornish air to fill your open plan living space. The kitchen is beautifully appointed, and the comfy living area is equipped with a Smart TV and some fun family games to enjoy. Both bedrooms have their own private en suite facilities, one is a twin, and the other is a comfy king, both boast oodles of space.

Magnificent peacocks reside at the manor, if you leave the doors open you may well get a visit! You have your own patio-area which is perfect for relaxing in on a warm summer's evening after a day exploring the local area.

This lovely spot is shared only by the friendly owners and other holiday guests. The short walk from the parking-area is sloped with no steps and is approximately 50 yards.

One of four idyllic retreats, Bellot has been carefully redeveloped and is efficiently powered via renewable energy and is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - now called a National Landscape. Each retreat can be found within a small country estate lovingly cared for by the owners to provide a sustainable and healthy environment for wildlife.

The Lizard Peninsula itself is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, thanks mostly to its unique geography. The area is particularly rich in wildflowers, with a few rare species only found here on the Peninsula. Also worth mentioning is that the area as a whole is an important breeding ground for many seabirds including kittiwakes, fulmars and gulls, and keep an eye out too for cormorants and Cornish choughs, so a stroll along the coast path is heavily encouraged - you may even spot some dolphins playing in the deep blue sea.

Food lovers will like that just a couple of minutes drive from Bellot is Jumunjy Thai Cuisine and Bar, popular with both locals and visitors alike so make sure you book a table. Pasty lovers flock to Ann's Pasties in the square on the Lizard where all the ingredients come from within 10 miles, this popular delicacy needs no introduction and is an essential tempting holiday treat. Fat Apples cafe at Porthallow and Roskilly's Croust House Restaurant at St Keverne both serve some very tasty food and Gwella Dairy in St Martin has amazing ice cream.

You can take a water taxi from Helford River or the little ferry across to The Ferry Boat Inn at Helford Passage, visit Roskorwell Lavender Farm - Cornwall's first lavender farm, visit Mullion which is the nearest little town and is home to Trenance Chocolate. Slightly further afield is Gunwalloe and both Church Cove and Dollar Cove where some scenes from the recent Poldark series were filmed.

Thrill seekers may like to head to Porthkerris for some scuba diving. The diving school will take you to explore the Manacles Reef and numerous shipwrecks. Trevassack Lake Watersports Centre hires kayaks and paddleboards - with so much to do - how will you fit it all in?
