Small doubleOne of the joys of stepping into spring is the bird song it brings; however, you can enjoy this little beauty until the draw of chillier days and darker nights set in. Located down a little lane and tucked into the corner of a gorgeous meadow, Birdsong is a wonderful spot for a solo escape or a romantic love nest for two.
The hideaway is settled within a lush grassy meadow, with plants, wildflowers and the sound of birdsong surrounding you. Arrive and take five steps up to the decked area, open the sliding doors and step inside the shepherd's hut where you'll find two charming chairs, the shower-room and kitchen area, complete with a fridge, kettle, hob and mini oven. Here you can prepare an intimate supper or hearty breakfast before venturing out for the day. The hut is decorated beautifully in printed bird wallpaper, in keeping with the hideaway name.
Head back out onto the deck to enter the cabin, where you will find your oh so lovely sleeping area, with a beautiful double bed (four foot wide). This truly is a cosy little haven, perfect for a restful night's sleep and well-deserved leisurely lie-ins.
The surrounding countryside is so peaceful and the views mesmerising, and your own private verandah is nothing short of paradise. There's also an al fresco shower, positioned to assure privacy so you can wash off salty hair after a day at the beach or experience the magic of showering beneath the stars. You are sure to while away many an hour enjoying all the beauty that surrounds, whether snuggled up toasting marshmallows around the fire-pit barbecue or relaxing in the hot tub. And your background for the day leading into nightfall will be the birdsong.
Birdsong has several eco features, including a living roof on the cabin, wildflowers and trees for encouraging native wildlife habitats, and the cabin and shepherd's hut have been created using a number of upcycled and reclaimed materials.
This hideaway shares its beautifully secluded field with Vista Paris (5404) but your privacy will always be respected.
Just when you thought Birdsong could not get any better, the location on Cornwall's north coast is perfect! You have a friendly pub located just up the lane where they serve local beers and ales, and good old pub grub!
Magical Mawgan Porth is a short drive away and here you can spend your days swimming in clear waters and enjoying fish and chips on the sandy shore.
You're also within easy reach of many of Cornwall's charming seaside towns and villages. Padstow is around half an hour away, boasting a pretty harbour, lovely shops and a thriving foodie scene. You can also discover the Camel Estuary. Hop on the Camel Trail and explore the area by bike. The south coast is around half an hour away. Here, you'll find the picturesque villages of Mevagissey, Gorran Haven and Charlestown, as well as the historic harbour town of Fowey. The famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also well worth adding to your itinerary, boasting beautiful botanical gardens. After a day of exploring the best that Cornwall has to offer, return to your heavenly hideout for a starlit soak in the bubbling hot tub… bliss!

Please note, there are five steps leading up the raised decking in which the hideaway sits upon. Birdsong may therefore be unsuitable for those with limited mobility. There is another hideaway onsite; Vista Paris. Both hideaways are positioned in a way to assure privacy, with your own private areas, secluded decking and hot tub to enjoy. The owners live onsite and are on hand if you need anything.
