As pretty as a picture and bursting with character, this idyllic retreat is waiting to welcome you to a very special holiday in north Cornwall. Set alongside the country road that leads to the little hamlet of Trelill, with gorgeous views stretching out across open countryside and glimpses of Bodmin Moor in the distance, you are only the shortest of drives to the very popular and truly stunning north Cornwall coastline.
There's a treat in store with the beautifully styled interiors, which perfectly complement the gorgeous slate floors, exposed beams, chunky thick walls and feature fireplaces which add to the overall charm. Step over the threshold into the snug - a simply gorgeous space with the sweetest of wood-burners, inviting you to pull up a pew and relax from the moment you arrive. The living and dining space is divine, with calm and relaxing interiors, a cosy wood-burner and lots of beautiful touches throughout, and the country-style galley kitchen is perfect for preparing brunch or supper with fresh ingredients picked up from the local farm shop. The large garden and sunny terrace is the perfect spot to soak in that view whether enjoying a morning coffee before you head out for a day at the beach or an evening sundowner after that exhilarating surfing lesson. And we must mention the outside shower - ideal for washing off sandy toes and salty wetsuits after a day in the sea.
The bedrooms are sure to offer a peaceful night's sleep after a day of exploring this beautiful part of the world. All have stunning views over the garden and surrounding countryside and the main bedroom has the luxury of an en suite bathroom as well. Utter bliss!
A holiday at Bokelly Cottage is not complete without a visit to the renowned St Kew Inn, nestled in its tranquil location and serving up a fantastic selection of delicious dishes, alternatively at the nearby farm shop you can pick up some fresh, local produce to cook up your own delights and whilst there enjoy a treat or two from the fabulous cafe.
If the Cornish coastline is calling you, you certainly won't have to travel too far. The popular village of Port Isaac is nearby where you can while away your time wandering around the galleries and boutiques, explore the coastal path or simply indulge in culinary delights. If you're feeling energetic you can try your hand at coasteering and sea kayaking, or get on your bikes and cycle the Camel Trail ending up at Padstow for fish and chips on the harbour.
The beautiful golden sands and sparkling waters of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are both nearby; Polzeath is a great spot for surfing and Daymer Bay is a dreamy family-friendly beach. And after a day of action-packed adventures, head back to your tranquil hideaway to relax, unwind and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
