This beautifully renovated house is perfectly perched overlooking stunning Brixham marina. Watching the daily water activity of the numerous fishing boats, trawlers and luxury watercraft coming and going is a real pleasure, especially as you can enjoy all this action from your very own raised decked area.
The owners of this charming terraced house have created a fabulous waterside 'home-from-home'. From sumptuous beds to the delightful colour schemes and thoughtful finishing touches throughout, The Foxes Cove is a truly special holiday home for couples or families alike. Whether it be feasting together in the large kitchen/dining-room, sparking the barbecue up for a touch of dining al fresco, or simply cuddling up in front of the television, the stunning sea views can be enjoyed at all times. Even two of the bedrooms boast the most spectacular sea views, what an inspiring sight to start the day!
From your doorstep you have such a variety of beauty and history to explore. Heading out in the opposite direction from the harbour will find yourself at the glorious and secluded coves of Fishcombe and Churston, these majestically formed coves prove a real hit with the locals when it comes to a spot of sunbathing, a dip in the sea or a picnic on the beach. Or treat yourself to a walk around the historic Battery Gardens, where many years ago, as far back as the 1780s, this area was alive with military action; most significantly remembered for its role providing a Coastal Defence Battery in World War II.
Or perhaps you just want to dive straight into the hustle and bustle of characterful Brixham harbourside. Fine dining restaurants and traditional fishermen's pubs are plentiful on the harbourside, and only a short car journey will find you in the heart of some of the most delightful and popular south Devon villages and towns, such as Dartmouth, Totnes, Shaldon and Kingsbridge.
Everything about this house oozes comfort, pleasure and style; the perfect formula for a truly unforgettable holiday on the glorious south Devon coast.
Brixham has so much to offer to all generations, all year round. From numerous top-class restaurants to charming and quirky coffee shops, along with the traditional fishermen's watering holes.
Take a meander around the stunning harbour and head to the superb Blue Flag Breakwater beach. This is a fantastic spot for a picnic, followed by a spot of rock pooling along with a healthy helping of ice cream from the beach cafe/kiosk. Not forgetting you have the Shoalstone open-air sea water pool at your disposal.
Slightly further afield you have the very popular towns and villages of Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe - all of which have something very special to offer. It would be a shame to not visit these beautiful places, so why not venture over to Torquay on the Western Lady ferry or take the 'Round Robin' trip (seasonal) of the bay. Both are fabulous family days out and a great way to explore this part of the world. Starting in Paignton, visiting Dartmouth and Totnes via steam train, river boat and bus is a great way to enjoy these special places without having to worry about traffic, parking or anything bar relaxing and enjoying yourself.
However, if a day building sandcastles sounds more appealing, the extremely popular sandy beach of Broadsands is a short car journey away.
For the little ones you have Paignton Zoo, River Dart Country Park, Pennywell Farm and Woodlands Family Theme Park within easy reach, all guaranteed to provide that fun-packed family day out.
All in all, this stunning property and fabulous location will leave you wanting to return time after time.
