Pretty as a picture and cute as a button this oh so gorgeous cottage is a retreat of unassuming beauty and perfect for families or a dreamy love nest for couples wishing to tuck themselves away, minutes from the sea and beach in St Agnes.

Rosemary Cottage is a lovely semi-detached cottage, with an air of calming tranquility from the moment you step inside. Offering reversed level accommodation, opening the front door you are immediately led through the porch into the ground floor hallway. Here you will find two boutique-style bedrooms, each one with sumptuous pocket sprung mattresses and high-quality bedding which are sure to give you a good night's rest. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and a luxurious en suite shower-room. The other faces the front terrace and has two single beds. The family bathroom is also on the ground floor and is a light, modern space. There is a bath, perfect for soaking in after a day on the coast path, with an overhead shower.

Take the oak staircase up to the first floor and you will find the wonderful open plan sitting-area which flows through to the hand-built kitchen and dining space overlooking the front terrace and cove road below. The wooden floors, gorgeous dining-table and large squishy sofa exude luxury and there is a harmonious balance of homely comforts and sumptuously stylish interiors.

The French doors lead out from the living area to the private enclosed patio. It is a great spot for sitting in the sun and listening to the morning bird song with a cup of coffee. Take breakfast al fresco in the outside dining-area and plan the day ahead. At the front of the house is another small terraced area, parking and an outside shower for washing away the sand. There is also a handy electric car charging point available at a weekly cost, please pay the owner on arrival.

It's been a true labour of love to create Rosemary Cottage and it shows! Perfectly positioned on one of the village's most favoured roads, it's a short stroll to the great local surfing beach at Trevaunance Cove as well as some fantastic local pubs, restaurants and shops.

The village of St Agnes is becoming one of Cornwall's most sought-after destinations, spend a little time there and you will soon see why. You can leave the car and pretty much everything you need for a great holiday is on your doorstep. Food-wise, whether it's a laid-back cafe or an upmarket eatery you're covered, and there are local shops from a butcher to a deli all close by.

We (personally) love The Tap House, Taste and of course The Driftwood Spars, famous for its home-brewed beer. The St Agnes bakery was a favourite with the Poldark film crew and bakes the most delicious pasties and pastries, and Wheal Kitty, a fashionable spot, has the Canteen and is home to the very trendy Finisterre clothes store.

There are wonderful sandy beaches at Trevaunance Cove and nearby Chapel Porth and Porthtowan, which are all lifeguarded from Easter to October, are great for families and surfers.

For those wishing to explore further afield, the Eden Project, the popular seaside resort of St Ives, the shopping city of Truro and the maritime town of Falmouth all make an easy day excursion and are just a short drive away.
