Set in the heart of the pretty quintessential village of Crantock and only a five minute stroll from the family-friendly beach, Penhallow is a very special holiday retreat. All the delights of the village are within a short walk of this charming, terraced cottage. Stock up on some essential provisions at the village shop, enjoy some traditional Cornish hospitality at the St Albion Pub, with its wonderful beer garden, or indulge in a home-made artisan pizza at the Jam Jar cafe with a glass of chilled wine.

The interior of this traditional Cornish cottage is quaint. The comfortable sitting-room is furnished with a sofa and two chairs and a cosy electric fire for chillier evenings. There is a lovely spacious kitchen/diner, and the kitchen looks out over the rear patio-area and is very well-equipped to cater for all your holiday needs. Leading off from the kitchen (down a small hallway) you have the family shower-room. Cottage stairs take you up to the first floor, where you will find the light and airy double bedroom and pretty second bedroom, which has two single beds and a child's bed, perfect for those teeny tiny guests, plus a handy cloakroom.

Outside you have a sunny front terrace overlooking the village green and to the rear you have a patio-area with a seating-area; fabulous for those balmy summer evenings, if you wish to eat al fresco.

Crantock is a family favourite offering safe golden sands and rock pools to explore. Combine the taste of village life with some adventures on the coast where there are world class water sports to master at nearby Newquay. You are sure to visit the popular fishing town of Padstow, to wander the shops and galleries, join a boat trip, or simply sample the delights of one of the many cafes and restaurants - you may even get there on two wheels if you hire a bike at Wadebridge and cycle along the renowned Camel Trail.

A short drive down the coast brings you to St Agnes. Spend an easy day pottering around this timeless village. The St Agnes bakery, a favourite with the Poldark film crew, does the most amazing pastries, and as you leave and head out of the village turn left into Wheal Kitty, always a hive of activity with lots going on. Here you will also find the very popular 'Canteen' serving fabulous, delicious dishes and also home to the very trendy Finisterre clothes store. With the family attractions of Camel Creek and Dairyland close by and the award-winning Cider Farm at nearby Healey's this is a terrific base for families, couples and friends.

Oozing with traditional Cornish charm, Penhallow provides easy laid-back beach living in timeless surroundings and is the perfect choice for a family or couple looking for a cosy cottage, within walking distance of the village and beach.
