MRS Wilbers-Schaap September 2025

The only, already noticed from some other guests , is that parking your car is very tricky... The beach parking lot is rather far away and with 8 pounds a day, rather expensiv. We could`t find out how to get a parking ticket for the often meantioned commonhall parking lot... In the end we were lucky to find everytime a free parking spot in the Gustory Rd (first street left when you drive down direction beach) In the beginning I asked a person who lived there and she said no problemm..! Otherwise it`s a perfect spot! And always something going on in one off the two very popular pubs! And a little local shop that`s open every day. So we could highly recommend Penhallow in Crantock!!...

We're pleased to hear that managed to find a good parking spot close to Penhallow. You can pull up outside Penhallow to unload and there are three public parking spaces located at the end of the row of cottages. Alternatively, there is street parking on the south side of Pentire Road, just 350 yards away. Extra parking can also be found in the public car park 1 mile away at the Bowgie Inn. We're thrillled that you enojyed your stay and appreciate your recommendation. Julie, Customer Support ...

Mr Knight August 2025

The property was super clean when we arrived and had more space than I expected. I knew there wasn’t any parking and this was a bit of an issue in a small village but we managed to find somewhere to leave the car each night. Great stay and perfect location....

We had great & very happy 2 weeks at Penhallow in lovely Crantock!

Mrs Taylor July 2025

Penhallow is a gorgeous cornish cottage in a great location. It is fantastically decorated in a modern cornish style. The outhouse is perfect for storing bodyboards etc and drying wetsuits. Unless you're under 5ft 5" you'll have to duck in some places, but we didn't find that an issue. Crantock is a lovely village with a super beach and 2 great pubs and a fantastic pizza restaurant. The village shop is well stocked. Parking is the only issue we had. There are 5 spaces nearby where you can park; however, between the hours of 9am - 9pm you can only stay for 2 hours. The beach carparks are full by 11am and you can't park there overnight. The village hall does issue permits but only for a few and they'd no more for us. ...

How delightful to be in the heart of Crantock with the beach and facilities on your doorstep. Penhallow is such a wonderfully well-appointed cottage and has such a charming décor it is lovely to see how much you appreciated everything it had to offer, including its quirky features! We're sorry you found parking to be a little challenging at times, and we have updated the website after reading your comments so it reflects the situation. We would love to welcome you back.
