Crantock village and its sandy beach are very popular with visitors to this area of north Cornwall, and justly so. Nestling in the centre of the village, The Hermitage is a semi-detached Grade II Listed archetypal thatched cottage with whitewashed walls and a little enclosed front garden.

Inside, guests are greeted with a wealth of original features as they step over the threshold; low beams, sloping ceilings and a very low lintel over the stairs give lots of character to this little cottage. The sitting/dining-room, formerly two separate rooms, has ornamental fireplaces at either end. Upstairs are two small, attractively furnished bedrooms and an ingeniously designed bathroom.

Outside, the sun-trap patio leads to the separate utility-room and sun-room.

There is even an external heated shower, ideal for washing off sand or rinsing wetsuits.

Guests will no doubt spend many evenings out on the patio, relaxing after a day at the beach.
