Sitting right on the waterfront at Mulberry Quay, this lovely property looks out over the Carrick Roads, one of the world's most spectacular natural harbours. French windows lead from the kitchen/dining-room onto the waterside terrace, the perfect place for breakfast or leisurely meals in the evening, a magical time of day on this stretch of water. The first floor sitting-room has a huge bay window almost hanging over the water and a Juliet balcony with views towards the Prince of Wales Pier from where ferries sail to St Mawes, Flushing and the Helford River. Beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped, The Pierhouse is a wonderful place to while away contented hours watching the multitude of yachts and boats out on the water.

Tucked away in a peaceful courtyard, this terraced duplex apartment is unexpectedly spacious, occupying the ground and first floors with just one apartment above. Beautifully decorated and furnished to an exemplary standard - John Lewis and Marks & Spencer are the default providers of most interior items - the house oozes comfort and luxury. Super-comfortable mattresses, beautiful bed linens and gorgeous cushions and throws ensure perfect nights, while the wonderfully well-equipped kitchen/dining-room, the panoramic views from the light-filled sitting-room and the cosiness of the little snug ensure daytime delight. Both bright, white shower-rooms have supersize cubicles, high-pressure monsoon head showers (with additional hand-held shower too) and heated towel rails. Every thought has been given to providing all you could need, with plenty of kitchen equipment for those who like to cook and entertain; a picnic hamper to take to the beach; games and books to keep everyone occupied, and even hot water bottles for soul-warming winter visits. Porthole windows in the kitchen and sitting-room doors and weathered timber flooring downstairs evoke nautical images and give glimpses of the moorings beyond the terrace. The ever-changing views and activities out on the water will tempt you to sit back and watch from the comfort of the sitting-room or the waterside terrace but if you can tear yourself away, The Pierhouse is just a stroll from the bustling centre of Falmouth. With cafes, bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance, popping out for coffee, drinks or an evening meal is easy. Gyllyngvase beach is just a mile away and plenty of watersports tuition is available; dinghies, kayaks and surfboards can also all be hired. The coastal footpath winds around Pendennis Head passing various beaches and bays on its way to the Helford valley, a beautiful area to explore.
