TwinOpal Cottage is a pretty end of terrace cottage situated in the corner of the village square and only a two minute walk from the harbour, beach and coastal path. Comfortably furnished it offers a good standard of accommodation. The sitting/dining-room has a warming wood-burner set in an inglenook fireplace with a comfy sofa and chairs and a great selection of books to read. The bathroom is on the ground floor. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the pretty bedrooms, the double at the front overlooking the village square and with glimpses of the sea.
Outside is an enclosed patio in front of the cottage with a garden seat.
Portscatho is a pretty village with a good selection of shops and an excellent pub.
There are a multitude of wonderful eating places within a few miles, from the famous Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick beach, the Rosevine and Driftwood hotels with their outstanding restaurants and The Idle Rocks and Hotel Tresanton in nearby St Mawes, which both offer exceptional food and sublime sea views. There are galleries selling original Cornish art, farmers’ markets and renowned Cornish gardens to explore. The nearby King Harry Ferry crosses the River Fal giving easy access to the pretty Cathedral City of Truro, maritime Falmouth and the dramatic cliffs and sandy surfing beaches of the north coast.
