Nestled in the heart of the charming fishing village of Portscatho moments from the beach, this handsome double fronted home offers a perfect blend of coastal serenity with vibrant village life. Pendrea, a traditional Cornish cottage, sits in the centre of the village, with an elegant porch partially hidden by lush foliage, providing guests with a sense of privacy.

From the main bedroom, enjoy enviable views of the picturesque harbour only 100 metres away, making Pendrea the ideal retreat for those seeking both tranquility and the ease of village life.

Upon entering , you'll discover a cozy sitting-room with comfortable sofas, chairs and a wood-burner - perfect for snuggling up on cooler evenings after a day exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. Across the hall the light-filled dining-room opens into a stylish kitchen. This welcoming space is ideal for enjoying meals with friends, lovingly prepared on the Aga using the abundance of local produce available in the village.

French doors seamlessly connect the indoor space to the terrace, allowing you to dine outside and soak up the sun a little longer. Afterward, relax with a chilled drink on the garden sofas or escape the sun by finding a shady spot on the raised lawned area of the garden.

Pendrea comfortably accommodates up to seven guests in four delightful bedrooms. The main bedroom at the front of the house features a king-size bed, an en suite shower-room and wonderful sea views. Across the split landing you will find a twin room, also with an en suite, a small double room and a single room with Captain's bunk, ideal for the youngest family member. A third family bathroom can also be found on this floor, with a bath, perfect for a relaxing soak after a long walk along the coast path.

The idyllic village of Portscatho is on your doorstep for all your holiday needs, with a well-stocked general store, two cafes and a pub. Enjoy a morning coffee and a pastry overlooking the bay at the local coffee shop Tatums, or treat yourself to a home-made ice cream from Scathos ice cream parlour - a perfect accompaniment for a walk around the harbour. The National Trust coast path is just a short stroll away offering routes to Towan Beach and St Anthony headland in one direction, and to Rosevine and Porthcurnick beach in the other.

You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options with a multitude of options within a few miles from Pendrea, from the famous Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick beach an easy walk away (booking is essential on feast nights), to outstanding restaurants at the Rosevine and Driftwood hotels and exceptional food with gorgeous sea views at The Idle Rocks and Hotel Tresanton in nearby St Mawes. Closer to home, you will find the welcoming Plume of Feathers pub and Boathouse restaurant just yards away, and The Standard with its great beer garden and outdoor kitchen and grills at the top of the hill.

The nearby King Harry Ferry crosses the River Fal giving easy access to the pretty Cathedral City of Truro, maritime Falmouth and the dramatic cliffs and sandy surfing beaches of the north coast. Venture further afield to visit the biomes at The Eden Project or the stunning display of flora at The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

However you wish to spend your time, Pendrea is the perfect base for your Cornish holiday.
