St Ives Bay has been a popular destination since the 1970s, attracting over half a million day visitors per annum to both St Ives and near neighbour Carbis Bay, which is where you will find Trevail. This traditional single-storey property welcomes guests year-round making it an ideal destination whatever the season.

Three steps lead up to the entrance hallway where Trevail welcomes a total of five guests and up to two babies. Handily having both a family bathroom and a small, modern wet-room, there are also three comfortable bedrooms; a king-size, twin room and a single room, a sociable sitting/dining-room and a separate kitchen. This comfortably presented bungalow is a great choice for the ubiquitous family holiday come rain or shine.

Outside, the well-maintained enclosed gardens and terrace positively invite picnics on the lawn, a morning coffee, or perhaps a night cap before bed, but is definitely somewhere for you to relax at the end of a busy day…. and you are sure to be busy as this area is renowned for its beautiful sandy family-friendly beaches where sandcastle building, body boarding, surfing and rock-pooling are the order of the day.

Lying north of Penzance and west of Camborne, St Ives really needs no introduction and a visit to Cornwall simply must include a day trip here. The main beaches include Porthminster, Porthmeor, Harbour Beach and Porthgwidden Beach, all family friendly and utterly charming so pack your bucket and spade and head to the bay. For a break from the sand, wander the higgeldy piggeldy narrow streets to find quirky shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and do sit with your back to a wall as you devour your pasty or ice cream as the seagulls are jolly friendly and like to share your lunch give a chance.

For a different day, why not head out to Land's End on Cornwall's most western point, for its unique location and stunning scenery and do have your photo taken at the famous signpost. Or if you are feeling fit, participate in Parkrun, the weekly free, 5k run each Saturday morning at 9am. With artisan crafts, gift shops, a model village and the First and Last House (depends if you are leaving or entering Cornwall of course), it's a great day out.

Carbis Bay itself (home to just under 3000 people) has a renowned sandy beach perfect for children and adults of all ages, so you don't even need to venture far for a beach day filled with fun in the sun before returning back to base to plan tomorrow's trip.
