Gilly Barn's reversed level accommodation is exceedingly spacious with room for everyone; the dining-room has a comfortable seating area with an additional TV which, whilst not conected with an aerial, has been fitted with a ROKU streaming device where you can access your Netflix account - perfect for holiday movie nights or streaming your favourite box set. From here galleried steps lead down to the roundhouse, where the grain would have originally been ground by a donkey turning the millstone and now transformed into a light and airy sitting-room. The beautiful bedrooms can be found on the lower level and from the French doors in the master suite you can access your private garden to sit out with an evening drink to enjoy the setting sun. You will find the shower-room on this level too and a further cloakroom upstairs.
External steps lead up to Gilly Barn's first floor front entrance and there is a second set of stone steps leading directly from the kitchen to the garden, perfect for popping back to the fridge for a top up when eating outside with those wonderful countryside views. The garden to the rear of the barn is big enough for games, cartwheels or simply relaxing with friends, family and of course if you have one, your four-legged friend.
The villages of Stithians and Lanner both only two miles away offer the guest local village stores for basic supplies and for the larger shop why not order a delivery from one of the local supermarket, or jump in the car as both Truro and Falmouth are not far away. And for those looking for some adventure on the water, you are a hop and a skip from Stithians Lake, where you will find lots to do, from fishing to footpaths, wildlife to watersports and also a café, the lake is both a hub of activity and a peaceful escape.
