Mr Geggus June 2026

Apart from a couple of minor issues which were dealt with quickly by Sarah the owner, everything went great. The cottage was in excellent condition and provided for all our needs. We had beautiful weather throughout the week we were there. We visited Poldhu Cove Helston with a cafe and shop with a lovely beach and good for swimming. Also went to St Michaels Mount, gardens and castle which were well worth a visit and had the boat to take us there and back (£3.20 each way), if the tide is in the right place you can walk across the causeway. Another great attraction was the Minack Theatre (£12 each for a self tour, well worth the money), an open air theatre, constructed above a gully with a rocky granite outcrop jutting into the sea, we loved it. We also visited St Ives but was concerned about the parking. Instead we drove to St Erth and took the train to St Ives (about £4 each way) and what a view you get of Cardis Bay from the coastal train, a great day out. Two nice pubs we eat out in was The Halzephon Inn Helston and The Old Ship Inn at Helston but so many pubs to choose from. We also visited Gear Farm Pasty Co and can recommend their pasties, in actual fact we ended up take 6 frozen pasties back home with us. There is so much to do in that area that we will have to come back again sometime. One final word, the cottage we was staying in was one of four on the secluded Bochym Manor Estate and I would like to thank Sarah for the guided tour of the Manor, which was very informative....
