Rockfield lodge is a very nice and spacious property, well located for exploring East Sussex and the coast. Some very good pubs locally serving good pub grub and Battle Abbey and the Battle of Hastings site is an essential visit for history buffs. Rockfield Lodge is in an ideal location to explore this part of East Sussex, being only a short drive from Battle, Hastings and Rye. It is also near Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter Manor House and Sissinghurst Castle Garden, which all make for great days out. The lodge is tucked away at the side of the main house and feels very private, with the whole grounds to wander round and enjoy. Inside the main living space is a very generous open plan area, with a games section at the rear. The pool table, darts board and table tennis table are all great additions to help enjoy your time at Rockfield Lodge. ...

Our family and 2 dogs loved staying at Rockfield Lodge. The lodge was well equipped with all you could need as well as a pool table, table tennis table and dart board providing lots of family fun. Just outside the front door is a fenced off area for the dogs to have a potter about but 30 seconds away is a large grassy enclosed paddock which the dogs loved running around and playing. All in all a great base for the family and dogs to explore all East Sussex has to offer. ...
