This property certainly has the WOW factor. It is so spacious that it easily accommodated our 3 generation family. It was very hot while we were there so we were able to take full advantage of being indoors in the cool, playing in the games area and also playing in the garden and paddock when it was a bit cooler outside. Sally, the owner was an attentive host without being intrusive. She was very generous and asked our granddaughters, aged 3 and 5, if they would like to look after her 2 (soft toy) bunnies for the week, which they loved doing. We had such a lovely time at Rockfield Lodge. Sally was a superb host -very responsive - nothing was too much trouble and the welcome pack was a kind touch. We had complete privacy despite being next door to the main house. The dog paddock was a huge bonus being able to let our dog off lead in such a wide open secure space was great for us. Guests have access to the whole garden, but there is also a decent sized fenced off garden space just in front of the lodge with chairs and umbrella which is a lovely spot for sitting out in or enjoying breakfast, lunch etc. As for the lodge itself - there is so much space with high quality furnishings. We loved the games room which became a sanctuary as we were there during a heatwave. I would highly recommend Rockfield Lodge and I have nothing negative to say about it which is so refreshing as I can be quite fussy!!! ...

Rockfield Lodge is a spacious, well maintained and comfortable property close to Battle. It is ideally situated for exploring 1066 Country and farther afield. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

We had a lovely few days at this great property. Loads of space and everything provided. Perfect for dog owners as there is a large garden and a dog proof paddock (except tiny dogs). Watching my 91 year old mother trying to play table tennis with her 87 year old sister in the games room was a memorable highlight. Lovely, friendly owners who didn’t intrude but were there when we needed something. ...
