We had a lovely few days at this great property. Loads of space and everything provided. Perfect for dog owners as there is a large garden and a dog proof paddock (except tiny dogs). Watching my 91 year old mother trying to play table tennis with her 87 year old sister in the games room was a memorable highlight. Rockfield Lodge is comfortable, relaxing and well-equipped holiday accommodation. The grounds are vast and interesting and a wonderful place to exercise your dog. The surrounding area is full of fascinating history. The Black Horse pub is the place to go if you want tasty homemade comfort food but don't get impatient if it takes a while to be served, it's worth the wait. This is an amazing property. The cottage was really warm, comfortable and well equipped. We loved all the space both inside and outside. Highlights were the games room and our dog loved the enclosed field and garden. It’s also a great location to explore Battle and the surrounding areas. The owners were very helpful while leaving us to get on and enjoy our holiday. Highly recommended....

Rockfield Lodge is a fabulous property. Adjoining the owner's house but still offering privacy it has views across the beautiful grounds. The owners were so welcoming and friendly yet not intrusive. The house itself is large and has been thoughtfully and stylishly furnished, and the games room was well used during our rather rainy week. It is also truly dog-friendly, with an enclosed space in front of the house plus a much larger meadow through the grounds where our dog could run and play free.
