We loved our stay, the cottage was bigger than we expected from the photos and very well equipt. The kids loved being surrounded by the chickens and wild garlic. Mark was super friendly and helpful, and the jam, scones and cream were a lovely touch.

We had the best time! As a family of 5 it’s challenging to find places that work for us but this gem was perfect. The kids loved the chickens, the hammocks, the hot tub and the bunk beds. And the little touches like the books and bucket/spades was a godsend to keep them busy. It also felt private even though there was another cottage behind us so it had been well thought out....

From the booking process, to checking in and out, our experience was brilliant. The Little Woodland House was a true joy, with everything you could need and more. The high spec of the house is a pure treat, giving a luxury but rural feel. Despite being a small house, as a family of 5, we did not feel crammed in. Wonderful cottage with very welcoming host. The scones on arrival were delicious and the beds were comfortable, the cottage cool from the cross breezes through the many open windows. Kids loved feeding the chickens and the hot tub at dusk. Nice selection of children’s books tucked away as well as some guidebooks and grown up novels. Privacy at the end of the lane also was nice. Recommendations were top notch and we had a lovely time. ...
