We have been going away with 3 generation of family for 16 years now and the Ark has been the best place we've stayed in. It's huge, lots of rooms, very clean, lots of equipment (paddleboards, kayaks, wetsuits). The location is amazing, right on the harbour, safe enough for the kids to go in the water, but close enough to the main flow to watch the large naval ships go in and out. You probably won't want to leave the boat, but if you do then there is loads to do, beaches, water parks, the moors, and Plymouth is just across the water. On top of this the owner Shaun was super friendly and helpful giving us lots of hints and tips. Highly likely to go back...so do visit, but wait until we've booked first :)...

Would definitely want to return to The Ark. We booked this as a surprise for our family. 11 of us. Just gave them the dates then didn’t tell them where we were going. They waited (impatiently) for about a year. The surprise on their faces when we drove up to this very large and Impressive boat was a picture. We varied in ages from 15 to 75 and there was something for everyone. So big you don’t get under each others feet. Brilliant memories of everyone of us using the kayaks and body boards. Our host Shaun gave us lots of information and places to visit. Also took us to Plymouth barbican on his boat. Family still talking about it. Perfect. ...

The Ark was amazing. Well equipped, clean, spacious, fun, comfortable....I could go on. The owner was very helpful and friendly too. Would definitely stay there again. We stayed on The Ark for a week at Easter. The boat was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the owner went over and above to ensure we had a fabulous holiday. The enormous games room, complete with pool table and karaoke machine - plus paddle boards and kayaks - were most definitely a bonus. We will definitely return!!...

You will not regret booking this if you have a large family event like we did . Also to be able to take our dogs was brilliant. We loved going over on the ferry . Everything was really accessible-the shops pub beach take away but far enough away to feel like you could make a bit of noise and not upset anyone. The kareoke was fun ! The owner Shaun is really lovely and responds very quickly and Joanna is fantastic. So helpful. We loved crabbing off the marina . A real gem of a place ...
