We spent a wonderful September week at Mellifount Farm! After our day trips it was always sheer joy to come back to the very cosy 'barn' with its relaxing view on the meadows, the horses, the dogs and the trees in the distance. And the hosts Julia and Trevor were absolutely very kind and friendly. We would certainly like to come back again some time in the future! We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful barn conversion. The location is great, walkable across the fields into Newick, but in a beautifully secluded and peaceful spot where you could sit and watch the horses in the paddock opposite. The owners were lovely and their dogs were totally adorable. We loved the way they would just pop in to say hi … the dogs not their owners. We would love to return....

Lovely quiet location, yet quick easy links to the road, rail and bus network and the huge range of interesting placs to visit. There is so much to see and do in this area that we really needed another week to fit it all in. The barn is extremely comfortable and furnished and decorated to a high standard, with lovely views across fields from the main living area. Trevor and Julia the hosts, were delightful and very welcoming, but never intrusive....

Ruddy and Julia are excellent hosts who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable & comfortable but without being intrusive. We have family in Lindfield and intend to use the property as a base / "home from home" when visiting in the future. We had stayed here regularly under the previous ownership and were pleased to find the accommodation has been improved somewhat, from what was an already high standard....
