From parking up the car, you walk up through the manicured tropical garden passing the owners' house and on to Palms 1, which has been set back for your privacy.

The property is very nice, clean and well equipped with everything you need whether it's a couple of you or a family. Access to the garage is a nice thought from the owners for storing larger items, ie surfboards etc. There is quite a number of steps leading up to the house which could be difficult for a pushchair if you have young children. Overall very nice....

Palms 1 was the best property that we’ve stayed in during the last 5 years! There was nothing that was missing and there was even beach chairs and surf boards for our use! The beds were very comfortable and the lounge was also very comfortable and in the warm weather, very airy with the patio doors! Just brilliant!...

This was our second stay at Palms 1 and proved to be just as good as our first stay in 2024. The accommodation is spacious, clean, bright, modern and in an excellent location. It’s a complete joy to stay in and the tropical gardens are amazing. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. We shall certainly be booking again....

We spent a lovely week at Palms 1. So often one hears the phrase 'well-equipped', but that really is true about Palms 1. It has a beautiful garden to the front of the property. We took our bikes with us, so being able to store them in the garage was great. It is in a great location whether you are there for the beach or to go hiking as we did. Barnstaple isn't far away and we had a great day out there and also cycled along the Tarka Trail. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a week away in North Devon. ...
