This stretch of coastline has a host of fabulous beaches. Polzeath is a firm favourite with surfers.
The pretty village of Port Isaac, home to TV's Doc Martin, The Fisherman's Friends and two of acclaimed chef Nathan Outlaw's restaurants.
Hire some bikes and hit the Camel Trail as it winds its way from Bodmin Moor all the way out to Padstow on the coast.
Spend the day at Cornwall's culinary capital, Padstow.
Daymer Bay offers more sheltered waters and welcomes dogs all year, so your four-legged friends will love it here.

“Poet’s Delight” (or “Demise”, as it says on the sign) is a charming, cosy and romantic place to stay in a peaceful and quiet setting, tucked away deep in the countryside. The facilities are incredibly modern: an induction hob, a shower with a water heater that instantly provides a constant temperature, good lighting and excellent Wi-Fi. A cosy little stay, perfect for us two and our dog. A perfect location to explore the surrounding area, coastline, walks, and numerous great eateries. Well equipped, great use of space, in a lovely peaceful village setting.

We really enjoyed our short break at Poet’s Demise. It is a lovely cottage in a peaceful location finished and equipped to a high standard with a very comfortable bed. The log burner with an ample supply of free logs was very welcome and made the whole cottage very cosy. We haven’t visited the North of Cornwall for a number of years and found it very conveniently located for exploring the area, and would certainly try to book again when we visit the area. We enjoyed two lovely meals at The St Kew Inn which is about a mile away but would suggest booking ahead because it was busy on both of our mid week visits....
