My family and I had a lovely stay at Stella Maris. A very comfortable home where we could relax in the evenings. In a central area to make a good base for exploring the islands. An added bonus for us, we were close to family. We will definitely be back and would recommend Stella Maris to anyone thinking about visiting the Outer Hebrides....

I cannot recommend this property enough, we loved every minute of it, the house is so well equipped, warm and cosy and Joan who manages the property is a delight and so kind and helpful. I already want to plan a return trip. If you are looking for peace and quiet and stunning scenery this is the place, one of the few places I have ever stayed where I was heartbroken to leave! Don't be put off by the weather or the long journey, this place is totally worth it!...

Lovely property and much bigger than I expected it would be. There was a generosity of spirit felt as soon as we arrived in terms of the generous welcome pack and amount of basics such as towels, throws, toilet rolls etc which is quite rare in holiday properties - created a very homely feel. The setting of the house is truly amazing with beautiful views out of every window and a step outside taking you straight to the shore line. Local beach (5 mins away) was breathtaking. There is no doubt that it is a long way to travel but if you are looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings then this has to be it - we are already discussing when we might visit again! The property is ideally located to explore the Uists, with services close by. Both short eared owls and hen harriers watched from the garden.
