Stable Lodge

Beautiful accommodation in a great location. Great facilities and lovely hosts!

My daughter, granddaughter and I had a very enjoyable few days at Stable Lodge. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped; we especially appreciated the good quality toddler-friendly additions. It's just a short walk from the marina, with lovely views across the fields to the water from the hot tub on one side, and on the other, views of the paddock and the horses, with Felixstowe beyond. We even saw deer running across the fields. Plenty to do in the area, especially if you like walking, but we also enjoyed just relaxing at the Lodge one particularly rainy morning....

It was a lovely week, except for the weather! We managed to get out all the days. We didn't use the hot tub, there was a hot tub there. All was immaculate, they even left us apples and bananas, biscuits and tea and coffee and sugar. There were flowers in the main living room and the main bedroom. I would highly recommend Stable Lodge....

This was a lovely cottage in a quiet location, but still close to Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe. Good walks locally and we wished we’d taken the bikes as plenty of cycling around.

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge, and very much appreciated the coffee, tea, sugar, milk, eggs and fresh flowers on arrival. It was a very comfortable space for a family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. We made good use of the hot tub, and appreciated the owner's guidance about opening the doors to the patio and turning on both fans or it would get too steamy. The hot tub was probably the biggest we've been in and comfortably fitted all 4 of us (including two teens). We really liked having the large patio doors looking out to the driveway — it made the lodge feel bright and airy. The only small downside was that the owners were often around tending to the horses or coming and going by car, so it didn’t feel quite as private at times. The same applied to the bedrooms, which look out over the owners’ lawn, so we tended to keep the curtains closed for a bit more privacy. The location is good, with some beautiful walks in the area. We did try to visit Sutton Hoo, but there were so many rail works going on we weren't able to access the site, so we gave up and visited Woodbridge. We had a great time there. Overally, we enjoyed our stay and would return....
