Stable Lodge

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge, and very much appreciated the coffee, tea, sugar, milk, eggs and fresh flowers on arrival. It was a very comfortable space for a family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. We made good use of the hot tub, and appreciated the owner's guidance about opening the doors to the patio and turning on both fans or it would get too steamy. The hot tub was probably the biggest we've been in and comfortably fitted all 4 of us (including two teens). We really liked having the large patio doors looking out to the driveway — it made the lodge feel bright and airy. The only small downside was that the owners were often around tending to the horses or coming and going by car, so it didn’t feel quite as private at times. The same applied to the bedrooms, which look out over the owners’ lawn, so we tended to keep the curtains closed for a bit more privacy. The location is good, with some beautiful walks in the area. We did try to visit Sutton Hoo, but there were so many rail works going on we weren't able to access the site, so we gave up and visited Woodbridge. We had a great time there. We had a lovely family stay at the Stables. The property had everything we could need during our stay and our hosts were accommodating and informative. We will definitely go back and would recommend the property.

A wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, there is good Wi-Fi if you have to carry on working. The equipment level , TVs and indoor jacuzzi/hot tub are all excellent Guests need to be comfortable with the close proximity of the owners and their horses. The owners are helpful and unobtrusive; conscientious gate closing by guests is necessary as there owners' cats and dogs on site as well as the 4 ponies in the paddock. Parking is right next to the building and all facilities are on ground level, there are no stairs or steps to contend with. Difficult to find on arrival unless you realise that the property is on an unmade up road off a right hand bend , use the 3 word locator? Good local pub that seves food . No convenience store in village but a Sainsburys superstore within 3 miles....

We were given a warm welcome on arrival and it was a pleasure to meet Graham and Cate. The Lodge is beautifully appointed and we were very comfortable. The property is in a lovely peaceful area, surrounded by fields and big skys. The sunsets were spectacular especially from the hot tub! There is something for everyone to do straight from the door or its near enough to the main road to venture further afield. The café in the harbour and local pubs are in beautiful locations to walk, ride or drive to. We enjoyed walking, the bird watching there is no shortage of National Trust properties and military museums, along with farms and wild life parks. There is lots more we want to see and do so we will definitely be back. ...

Hosts Graham and Cate are lovely people who are very sociable and we enjoyed our chats sat outside in the evenings. It’s lovely to look out of the large windows to see the horses in the paddock with the chickens and cats and beyond the paddock in the fields, we saw deer....
