We had a perfect stay at Shepherds Rest and Ms. Barwell was indeed our perfect hostess too. Nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding area was also perfect. To be honest we can not praise our holiday enough. We have always gone to Cornwall over the past 20 or more years but we can see Devon will also be our visiting place too. Shepherds Rest of course! We absolutely loved Shepherd's Rest, it was just what we needed after a tough year. The peace and quiet and the comfort at the property completely recharged our batteries...it was a lovely place to come back to after a day out exploring...we are looking forward to returning there again in the future ...

Shepherds Rest was clean comfortable and had everything we needed . We enjoyed our stay and there are some lovely walks starting from the cottage . Katy was very welcoming and the welcome treats were very much appreciated. The farm track to the cottage was not great for a car....

Shepherds Rest is in a wonderful location surrounded by sheep and is so peaceful. The cottage was bright and airy with views all round. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back.
