Driftwood is a well appointed and furnished property with all you need for a comfortable and quiet stay on the Isle of Wight. Closeness to the beach and The Needles is a plus but all other parts of the island are easily reached (by car and bus). Taking the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth was best as the drive from there is very quick....

Great location, 5 minute walk from Colwell Bay. Area is so quiet at night. Hot tub is brilliant, lovely to have a little soak at the end of the day at sunset. Lots for the kids to do as well, Swimming pool and soft play on site as part of the holiday park. Definitely recommend it!...

We had a lovely stay at Driftwood. It was very clean and we had everything there we needed. The shared pool was a big hit with the children. We would definitely recommend staying at Driftwood.

I think cottage is a miss leading description - this is clearly a little cabin on a small holiday development. That said as one of those it is beautiful lovely furnishings, beautiful clean hot tub and the development is perfectly placed for beach, quiet and ideal for what we were looking for. We had a great time and would recommend. ...

Mrs Fowles July 2025

Really disappointed with the property. It’s in a great location and well equipped. But it looked like it wasn’t cleaned properly. Property was full of pet hair, luckily I found a hover which got pretty much full after i had done cleaning the floors. The exterior including front door and windows were all covered in old cobwebs it looked like nobody had cleaned it or been to see it for few months… huge pile of old bird poo by the front door. Hot tub was pretty old and i could believe i couldn’t change the temperature to be suitable to swim with my baby. Furnishings were nice looking but half of them so useless. Why would you have a giant table lamp on tiny bedside table so there’s barely place for a glass of water… one of the armchairs was unstable luckily i noticed before trying to sit in it… what easily could have been a property for us to return to regularly turned to reason i wont be booking with classic again....

We are so sorry to hear us, as this sort of feedback is not the norm for this property. It is such a shame you didn't get in touch with us while you were here so that we could have contacted the owner and their housekeeper to address any of the cleaning and maintenance issues, so that you could experience the property in the way you expected. We appreciate that you would expect to arrive to everything being 100%, and we are very sorry if it wasn't, but we would have loved the opportunity to help. The owners were immediately sent your comments, and we will continue to monitor feedback. We do hope you still enjoyed your time on the Isle of Wight despite this disappointment. Classic Cottages...
