Wreckers Corner is in the heart of the hamlet, seconds from the beach. There is plenty of parking on the road directly outside.
Grand flagstone flooring, mined from the local quarry. Please note the lower ceiling height to the right side of the kitchen counter.

Kynance Cove is one of the UK's most photographed beaches and is just across the peninsula from Porthallow.
The island off the shore of Mullion Harbour, pictured here, is a bird sanctuary and is famous for its breeding colonies of kittiwakes, cormorants and guillemots.
Porthleven is a short drive away and is a quintessential Cornish fishing village, with a shipyard market, gorgeous eateries, clock tower and pier.
The pretty bay of Coverack is a few miles away and has sandy stretches at low tide and you can hire paddle boards and kayaks.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wreckers Cottage – it genuinely exceeded our expectations. The cottage itself is full of character and really well appointed, with lots of lovely little touches and some beautiful artwork. Our children particularly loved the cosy little twin bedroom. The kitchen became the heart of the house for us and was where we spent most of our time, and the window seat was the perfect spot to sit with a book. The little garden just across the way was such a brilliant addition, especially with children. It meant we could keep our SUPs blown up all week and have everything ready to head straight down to the beach. Porthallow itself was a real highlight. Everyone we met locally was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pub was great for popping into for a drink – we even caught some live music while we were there. The beach was perfect for our 9- and 10-year-olds, who somehow managed to spend hours exploring and playing on the rocks! There’s plenty to explore nearby too. Definitely seek out Roskilly’s Farm for ice cream and pizza and visit the Fat Apples Café. We also had lovely days out in Falmouth, Helford and St Ives – for St Ives, we’d highly recommend parking at St Erth and taking the train in. We came away feeling that we’d found somewhere really special. We enjoyed the cottage and Porthallow so much that we’d genuinely love to come back next year. A wonderful family holiday and a place we’d happily recommend....

What a stunning holiday cottage, from how beautifully the cottage is styled and furnished to just the perfect location, metres from the sea. The garden is lovely and the small courtyard seating area at the front is perfect for a morning coffee or what ever else takes your fancy. Everyone is so friendly and how wonderful to see that the Five Pilchards is now open and thriving. What a super place for a holiday!...

Wreckers Corner is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Beds are extremely comfortable and despite it being advertised as not having a TV in the sitting room it looks like the owners have recently installed one. Plus the images on the website of the sitting room are different. There are now 2 comfortable sofas which made it a lovely place to spend an evening. However as the weather was so good we spent a lot of time outside. Fabulous place in a great location. Pub great with good food and service....
