A beautiful cottage in an idyllic location, with gorgeous walks from the doorstep down to the beach or along the coastal paths. Lovely village pub in easy walking distance, National Trust owned shop and tea rooms at the Old Bakery and cafe on the beach. The enclosed area of garden was great for our dogs and watching the gliders and sunsets. Extremely relaxing break!...

We had a great stay in this charming cottage in a very picturesque setting. Whilst very compact, it has everything you need for two (plus dogs) and it’s efficiently laid out and in great condition. There’s plenty to do locally with two pubs, a great beach cafe, that does a decent breakfast, only a short walk away. We also enjoyed the walks and old bakery shop and cafe too. Only criticism is the sofa which is quite uncomfortable. ...

Lovely cottage in a stunning location. We were fortunate to have lovely weather so could make the most of the garden and views. We really enjoyed our stay and would return, The sink in the bathroom is tiny but we didn’t find it a problem for a few days. ...

Beautiful location with stunning views but the property is let down somewhat by the wash basin in the bathroom. Take note of the photo of the loo in the bathroom. The sink in the cistern is the only wash basin. If you are happy to put up with that, it is a lovely place to go. Easy walk to the beach where there is a good cafe and the Mason's Arms is a nice pub with good food....

Fabulous spot and outlook. The Dolls house really is like a dolls house. Delightful, clean and private. Upside down, which was a good plan, as upstairs is a lovely sunny room. Great little enclosed garden for dogs, with a bbq. There is a fabulous pub, Masons Arms (a good 20 mins walk away, 5 min drive) with excellent food, in the village, but do book, as it is very busy, as nowhere else in the village to eat, other than the Fountain at the far end of the village and it’s more of a local pub, But good food. The local beach a 5 minute up & down, drive away , is all pebble beach, all dog friendly, but fairly big waves! Our spaniel leapt over them, but when it was rough, we kept him well away! A pool of mountain stream water fills on the beach for a heavenly doggy swimming pool. And the Sea Shanty cafe is EXCELLENT fish and chips & Crab sandwich etc , very special & v popular . The most incredible walk there, up East Cliff to Beer is an hour & 1/4 or so walk, very steep at the start but well worth it even for a not so fit person like me! Safe for dogs all the way. We didn’t do the coastal walk (lower down) as apparently it’s a bit dangerous for dogs in places . Up over the cliffs is stunning. A must ! Still dreaming of it now x...
