Mrs Pickup March 2026

This cottage is in an amazing pretty location right in the centre of Rye. Very cosy and convenient for restaurants, shops and pubs. So lovely to see the water tower and church from the bedroom window. Lamb House (National Trust) and the Ypres Tower are literally round the corner from the property as was the Kino cinema which has the latest films. We are so sorry to hear that a welcome pack was not left for you. We appreciate that after a long journey, putting your feet up and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee is one of the first things most of us want to do, so we will contact the housekeeping company for this property to remind them that this should always be left for arriving guests. Thank you for the review and letting us know, and we are glad that you enjoyed the lovely location. Classic Cottages...

Don't think about it, just book! We felt we were in a tiny stately home. Beautifully decorated, with a huge comfy bed, luxurious bathroom and a wonderful view of the church with bonus bell ringing on Thursday evening.

Very pretty & peaceful cottage in a brilliant location.

We pulled up outside to unload (you can’t stay there for long) and then parked overnight at the station - Rope Street carpark - 5 mins walk away. The upstairs is spacious with a King Size bed and excellent bathroom with powerful shower. Living room very comfortable although lighting quite low for reading. We came during a freezing week in January and were very grateful for the extra plug-in radiator. We would have been chilly downstairs without it. Union restaurant (Michelin - allows dogs!) is a treat and only a 1 minute away. ...
