River Garden Cottage

I have just enjoyed the most incredible 7 days holiday at River Garden Cottage, words cannot describe the level of luxury and comfort you are treated to on your stay. Whilst we were there we had heavy snowfall which added that extra magical experience when cosied up around the roaring fire, fed the Rainbow Trout every day at the bottom of the garden, and the Squirrel and birdlife, we even named the ducks Charles & Camilla so lovely and friendly. Walking from the door to some of the best nature trails in the Peaks, Bakewell 20 mins by car and Buxton not much further, there could be nothing better, browsing the Antique shops, beautiful little tea rooms, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth, this stunning cottage caters for all your holiday wish list of which mine was long, very long. I can't wait to return to this beautiful place, Spring, Summer or Winter it's simply breathtaking, the whole family have loved it and were emotional to say farewell (For Now!) Thanks to the lovely owner Martyn for being so attentive, and the lovely neighbours who were happy to chat and recommend pubs, restaurants etc....

This cottage was a delight to stay in. It fitted our needs perfectly, quiet location at the end of a ‘Dead End’ road. The secluded garden was a delight in the evening catching the last rays whilst consuming a tipple and watching other half fish from the bank. ...

We’ve just had a great week in this stylish and comfortable cottage. The welcome pack was very generous, and we enjoyed all the goodies! We loved the riverside location, and the many walks accessible from the cottage. You wonder when driving the last mile if it will feel remote but it doesn’t - Litton Mill is a really interesting collection of houses and apartments. ...

We had the best week here. Very, very peaceful. Perfect location, lovely little secret garden too. House is very well thought out and equipped. Lots to do and see in the area. Make sure you know the entry code before you get there as WiFi won’t kick in until you’re in the house. Lovely place, highly recommend. ...

This is a delightful, well presented cottage in a charming location in the centre of the Peak District. The riverside garden is perfect for sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet. It is very easy to access the Monsal Trail via the footbridge almost opposite. ...
