This is the first time to visit the Peak District. It‘s much worth a visit. First of all, the wonderful cottage has all you need for a holiday, it‘s extraordinarily well equipped and nicely decorated. Thanks a lot for the welcome hamper. There are a lot of places to sit comfortably, we loved the kitchen table. Not to forget the wonderful peaceful garden, a real gem. It‘s been a great pleasure to walk directly from the doorstep, so we could leave our car very often. Also it wasn‘t too far for a trip to Buxton, Bakewell, to Chatsworth House and Lyme House. Thank you Martin and Su for providing such a lovely place. And there is a lot more to explore, so we need to come back!...

River Garden Cottage is a dream: the location—with its beautiful little garden right by the stream—the interior, designed with such attention to detail, fresh flowers in every room, and a very generous welcome basket; it is exactly how one imagines a holiday home. Stunning cottage in an idyllic setting with beautiful walks on your doorstep. Warm reception from the owners (generous and high quality filled welcome hamper/ fresh flowers in each room/ regular check ins to ensure all in order) Cottage with its garden overlooking the river was spotless and oozes charm and tranquility. Derbyshire is a beautiful part of the UK with its wonderful vistas and so much to see and do. Our stay at River Cottage made our stay more memorable and have already booked to return to this gem of a cottage next year....
