Our first visit to the Peak District and we couldn’t have stayed anywhere more perfect. River Garden Cottage is an absolutely stunning property in a stunning location, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It has such a pretty garden with river frontage and walks direct from the door. We really didn’t want to come home and wish we could have stayed longer. The owners Martin and Su were wonderful hosts, incredibly thoughtful and welcoming, checking to see that we’d arrived safely and were settled in and comfortable. There were beautiful fresh flowers in every room and a wonderful and very generous welcome hamper too. We loved our stay at River Garden Cottage and can’t wait to return next year. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. The quality of the design and building, and the fixtures and furnishings, is excellent. The property has been modernised to a very high standard with delightful colour schemes. It was lovely to have fresh flowers in vases in every room. I drive a Mazda CX5 which is not huge but is also not small. Parking is doable though tight and requires some manoevering to reverse into the allotted space! We would happily stay there again. It is very special....

This cottage is absolutely stunning and the owners were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. The location is fabulous with a beautiful tucked away private garden by the river which was incredibly relaxing - we were treated to the spectacular sight of a kingfisher visiting the garden. The location is superb with a short walk to the Monsal trail over the bridge or a longer walk past the mill and along the river to be able to see more of the wildlife. It was easy driving to access other towns and walks and overall a pure delight - we will definitely be returning! ...

Marvellous cottage in a secluded location. We will keep this one in mind for future reference.
Recommend the food and service at the Anglers Rest in Millers Dale. Large portions meant that no starter or pudding required.
