The Eagle

I'll be back, for sure. I specifically wanted somewhere with a sea view and a log burner, The Eagle was perfect. I particularly appreciated the generous amount of logs available as this was a solo break and I would never have been able to carry sacks of logs down the cliff. A minor problem with the Internet was sorted quickly and all communication with the owner was prompt and friendly. Just a note to other people like me who don't do anything to keep fit ... the walk back up the cliff is steep! I highly recommend packing as light as possible. Beautiful bolt hole, wonderful views, it was exactly what we were after.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. The views are incredible and the hosts were extremely helpful. The property was clean and well equipped and we will definitely visit again.

The Eagle is an amazing place. First thing to note is that it is relatively secluded, unlike a lot of the cabins along the cliffs at Whitsand Bay. You do pass other cottages to get to it, but you can only see one other once there and it's not directly on top of you. The view is stunning from the patio doors which stretch across most of the cabin. You can also wake up to the view from the bedroom. The hosts were wonderful and even helped us with our bags on arrival, which meant we only had to do one trip down the hill! They also sorted a minor issue for us immediately via text, and checked in with us midweek to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. It's a truly stunning location. The walk to the beach, whilst via the cliffs is relatively easy and the bay is one of the best beaches in England I've ever visited, for it's breadth, rockpools and long waves rolling in. If you want to be claimed by the landscape, this is the place. The cabin itself was clean, tidy and stocked with everything you need. We had plenty of logs to warm ourselves with the log burner for the entire week and the hosts even bought extra blankets for us, being it was winter. Would definitely recommend and return. Enjoy!
