Stable Cottage

A stunning cottage perfect for 2 people, a huge bed and bathroom and plenty of room to spread out upstairs too. The kitchen is very useable and well provided for and we made several meals at the cottage. It is on a fairly busy country road and cars do fly around the corner that the cottage is set on, however it didn’t impact our stay and we just took caution when leaving the driveway. There is plenty of parking space for your car and cycle rack and as we brought our e- bikes there was room to stand them out of sight on the bijou little patio under the trees. We found a nice route from the cottage down by the Polgooth Inn onto the route 3 cycle route all the way to Mevagissey and back into St Austell. This primarily kept us off the main roads. A perfect area for cycling. We visited all the local beaches on foot and by bicycle of which there are quite a few. We ate breakfast one morning at Kingswood, which is a new restaurant at the bottom of the lane leading from London Apprentice , that was amazing. We had lunch at Charlestown Harbour, we had a pint of prawns and chips sitting by the Quay people watching. We drove to Newquay and Fowey both stunning. The weather was really warm and the cottage could have benefitted from a fan but other than that we absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it for a very comfortable stay for a couple. ...

Stable Cottage is a hidden gem beautifully converted, a luxury escape. It is in a very quiet location although only just outside St Austell with very easy access to major roads. The cottage is very comfortable with all mod cons, the bed very comfy with high quality bedding and also very good quality towels in the stunning bathroom. The EV charging point was an added bonus....

We really enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage. It had everything we needed for a perfect break. It was spotless, very comfortable, and perfectly located with the west and east coasts of Cornwall being within easy reach.

Great cottage, very comfortable Great location.

The cottage was very comfortable and finished to a very high standard. It was great to have two floors, which meant the bedroom and bathroom were also very spacious. The furniture was modern and the decor was very restful. The low level motion sensor lighting was great, especially at night. It was in a quiet and pretty location with ample parking. The garden was an added bonus with established and interesting planting. The thick walls meant it was cool in the recent heatwave, but also warm when the heating came on. It was well located for travel to places of interest too. We would definitely stay here again, if we holiday here in the future. ...
