Ms Wilson September 2025

We had a terrific stay, the cottage is not too far off the beaten track and is in a good position for St Mawes, Portloe, Truro, Falmouth and fabulous beaches such as Carne Beach or Caerhays. Toadstools itself is a very charming cottage, it has a very homely feel and is really comfortable. The kitchen is wonderful with its huge farmhouse table, the stable door and adorable pantry, it is generously stocked with every utensil you could possibly need to cook for a large family. The sitting room was very comfortable and charmingly decorated and the smart TV came in handy, as did the games cupboard. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the generously sized beds were very comfy. The garden was beautiful with some lovely plants and, although we visited in September when the weather was just starting to get colder, we were able to eat outside. The heating was also very effective, all the facilities were of a good standard and the annexe was also very comfortable. The wifi could handle the demands of our 3 adult children as well as the TV, with no difficulty. We had occasion to contact the housekeeper to check something and she was extremely helpful and approachable....

Ms Halford April 2025

Toadstools is a beautiful cottage situated in a small hamlet not far from the coast. It is very tastefully decorated, the beds are so comfortable with lovely white linen. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you will ever need. There is a lovely south facing garden which is fully fenced. We had a fantastic week and couldn’t fault the cottage in any way. We hope to return again soon. ...

Mrs Fox December 2025

We absolutely adored our stay in Toadstools, such a magical Cornish cottage with a beautifully kept, fully enclosed and completely private garden. The location was superb for all of the lovely local beaches, the Hidden Hut for breakfast or lunch and fabulous pubs in the area. The cottage is charming, lovely and warm and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could wish for to cook for the family. We had a slight problem with the fridge and within five hours of reporting it a brand new fridge had been delivered. Not only was the service from Gail the housekeeper and Classic Cottages first class, the owner of the property even took the time to call us with a personal apology for any inconvenience. What more could you ask for. We will definitely be back! Thank you....
