Around the headland, you'll find the traditional seaside town of Looe.
Grab some fish and chips in the town of Looe, best enjoyed sitting on the Banjo Pier that juts out into the sparkling sea.
Looe Island sits majestically out in the water. Now a nature reserve, open for guided tours.
Visit one of the many gardens in south Cornwall, including the iconic Eden Project.
Historians and garden enthusiasts alike will enjoy a day at Lanhydrock (National Trust) with its historic house, stunning gardens and parkland along with a network of trails that will delight cycling enthusiasts.
A little way down the coast discover the trendy sailing town of Fowey.

It is a lovely property - very clean, well decorated with everything you need in the kitchen, very comfortable and quiet. We only used the bedroom on the first floor and the ensuite - the bed was lovely and comfortable and the shower in the ensuite works well. The stairs are very steep so may not suit everyone. The property is right at the top of the village but is a nice 10 minute walk to and from the harbour. There are some great pubs and restaurants in Polperro as well as live music - the Royal British Legion has some great acts. The bus stop is right opposite and there are a lot of buses coming and going during the day which can mean you need to wait to get in/out of the driveway until the bus has gone as they do sit outside the property - this wouldn't put us off staying here again though. We had some great days out - The Story of Emily in Liskeard was outstanding - well worth a visit. We also enjoyed the aquarium in Plymouth....

Fantastic location with really useful parking right outside. Extremely tastefully presented throughout and very clean. All three bedrooms are very generous sizes. Lovely hot and powerful showers in both bathrooms and the cubicles are double size too. Book it, it’s great!...

The Rigging is a nice cottage in Crumplehorn, a 10 minute walk down to Polperro. It has good parking on site though getting in or out can be tricky when a bus is parked opposite the entrance. The cottage is very well provided with everything you might need in terms of the kitchen and the bathrooms and was warm and comfortable even in the cold and wet weather we had for our week! There were some welcoming scones and cream and jam when we arrived and milk in the fridge which we appreciated. All in all a very good cottage if you don't want to be in the heart of Polperro....

Lovely quirky cottage perfect for walking down to the harbour and trips out in the car without driving down the narrow streets Polperro is a gorgeous little harbour with some great pubs and cafes the Blue peter inn is a must

We had a glorious 2 weeks in delightful Polperro. It was great staying at The Rigging as being slightly away from the village centre we were able to either have a leisurely walk down to the harbour or explore further inland up to Polcoombe - much needed on very hot days with our dog. Ample parking for one car was fantastic and although there wasnt a gated space outside there was a lovely area to sit out and eat/ watch the world go by. For our dog there was a little path opposite with a steep hill into some woodland so he could have a quick run each morning. Bus stop opposite made it very easy to catch a bus to Looe or polruan. Highlights were definitely the natural pool - a godsend during the heatwave, kittys fish platter, walking to talland bay so our dog could swim there (no dogs allowed during summer at Polperro beach), jumping off the harbour wall and fish n chips with a view at The 3 Pilchards! So much more left to explore so we will be back....
