Mrs Gadsby September 2025

Had the most wonderful week at Rose Cottage- the location really was the best, being quiet and private but a short walk down the lane to the quay & lovely bakery, deli, pubs etc, access to the ferries. The views are to die for, whatever the weather- either sitting on the terrace or cosied up inside looking through the big windows. The bedroom was beautiful, having a leisurely lie in the huge, very comfortable bed looking over the water was such a treat, the kitchen was incredibly well equipped for cooking, the large modern bathroom had a big bath and great shower. The lovely, homely living with comfy sofa area had lots of books to get lost in & a good size TV with sound bar & the underfloor heating kept it toasty. The cottage has kept original features but been modernised, so was homely whilst being comfortable & luxurious, everything was high quality. We had no issues with the parking (there is a handy trolley to help move your things), having no traffic or people going past made it very peaceful & private. We got the ferry to Place & Falmouth, and did the lovely walk to St Just in Roseland church, so you really don't need to go far. Top marks the bakery which kept us going in pasties, cakes etc all week. It was a privilege to stay there & would return in a heart beat, St Mawes is a beatiful place & Rose Cottage was perfect....

A well equipped and attractive quiet cottage with flexible accommodation for different generations.

Ms Lyons May 2025

Rose Cottage is comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything you might need (although worth noting there is no microwave!). We would thoroughly recommend it! The location is fantastic and the views amazing - we were lucky to be able to enjoy the terrace which was bathed in sunshine for most of the day. We got used to the approach but it is a very steep incline - eg vans that were parked on it were using blocks in front of their wheels! It was great that we hardly needed to use our car and there was lots to do! We took the ferry to Trelissick Gardens and to Place, walked to St Just (and Renwicks Cafe), visited Lamorran Gardens, stopped at the Shallikabooky Cafe at Pendower Beach and enjoyed a meal at the Rising Sun in St Mawes. All great! We had the most wonderful stay at Rose Cottage - thank you! This is certainly one of the best cottages we have stayed in and we hope to return!!...

Mrs Sanders September 2025

Rose Cottage is a wonderful holiday house in a great position in St Mawes with the most fabulous view from the balcony. It is very well laid out and the bathrooms and utility are super with plenty of hot water. We stayed for two weeks with our son and his family and the house worked really well for us all. Will definitely book to stay there again....

Mrs Henderson September 2024

Rose Cottage is a five star property in every way. The photos match the reality! The views from every window are beautiful, the weather did not allow us to use the lovely terrace. Very comfortable beds. The underfloor heating in the bathrooms was a real treat as were the spacious showers. The kitchen is very well equipped and having a separate laundry room was so useful especially during wet weather. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in and I would thoroughly recommend a holiday here. We have already booked for next year ! ...
