Our host, Michelle, was very warm and welcoming. The Dovecote is in a beautiful village in a quiet location which suited us. The kitchen was very well equipped and the downstairs living room was cosy and snug.

An attractive recent conversion of a Grade II listed seventeenth century dovecote - The ground floor open plan sitting / dining / kitchen works well and the kitchen area had everything we could possibly need for our week's stay including beautifully sharp kitchen knives ! OK the bathroom is tiny but the comfortable bedroom upstairs proved rather more spacious than in the photographs might suggest. Grittleton seems a quiet village, maybe a few distant lawnmowers, but I don't think we heard any traffic noise all week
