A wonderful stay in the heart of St Mawes (1-8 August 2026) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbour Retreat. The apartment is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed, with everything we needed for a very comfortable family holiday. The location is superb, right in the heart of St Mawes, with shops, restaurants, the harbour and passenger ferry all just a short walk away. The views from the apartment across the harbour towards Summers Beach and Place Manor are simply wonderful, and were a real highlight of our stay. There were also some lovely thoughtful touches awaiting us on arrival, including a bottle of rosé and a Cornish cream tea in the fridge, which were especially welcome after our long journey down to Cornwall. Harbour Retreat proved an excellent base from which to explore St Mawes, the Roseland Peninsula and the surrounding area, while also being somewhere we genuinely enjoyed returning to at the end of each day. This was our first booking with Classic Cottages and we were very impressed with both the property and the service we received. We would happily stay at Harbour Retreat again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it....

A really lovely cottage in a great location, with easy access to everything in town. It has a beautiful view over the harbour, is very well equipped, and filled with natural light throughout the day. The décor has a comfortable seaside feel and is all in excellent condition, making it an especially relaxing place to stay. I would happily recommend it....
