If you want a shepherds hut break with a twist then this is the place to go, relaxing in a hot tub while alpacas curiously want to be nosy, they are funny and cute! Chas was more than happy for us to roam the other fields that contained other Alpacas which was great! The hut itself was more than accommodating, very well decorated, very comfortable and had what you needed to make bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast and steak, mash and veg with peppercorn sauce for dinner! The complimentary bottle of bubbly went down a treat! If I were to tweak anything, it would be a bigger hot water tank, it ran out too quickly, a smart TV to pair up with their super good WiFi and a bag of proper kindling with good fire lighters and a good lighter not matches - especially if you're paying an extra £5 to light the hot tub for a second time. The road leading to reception could do with re-surfacing so if you have a low, stiff suspension car then definitely take it easy! All in all, we loved this place and would definitely go back again!...

A Week of Bliss at Alpaca Hideaway On a hilltop high, where the skies are blue, A shepherd’s hut waits, with a perfect view. Grassy fields stretch, where alpacas graze, In the gentle warmth of springtime rays. The wood-fired hot tub, glowing with heat, Invites you in for a tranquil retreat. Lazy days flow, under sunshine’s gleam, As alpacas wander through the pastoral scene. Pheasants call and birds chatter sweet, Woodpeckers drum in the distance, a beat. Wine fills glasses, a barbecue’s delight, Meals freshly cooked under twilight light. The horizon blends in hues of gold, Nature’s charm, in stories untold. Evenings spent in serenity's embrace, A week of bliss, at a gentle pace. In the shepherd’s hut, life’s worries fade, Amongst the fields, where moments are made. A holiday graced by nature’s song, In an alpaca farm, where hearts belong....

We had a relaxing stay. The shepherd’s hut is set in a beautifully tranquil rural location, ideal for switching off and enjoying the countryside. The alpacas were a real highlight, and the hot tub was perfect for unwinding in such peaceful surroundings, and Chas was friendly and welcoming. The only things to note are that the access road is very potholed, which was challenging for us in our low car, and the walk from the field gate to the shepherd’s hut felt uneven and slippery during heavy rain. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, particularly if you’re prepared for rural access conditions....
