A great location with many attractions within an easy drive (we are not walkers) and an excellent pub, The Castle Inn, in walking distance which also did takeaways. Pulborough House is very comfortable and well equipped and the owner was very helpful. Useful Lydford farm shop a very short drive for basics and weekend papers and great pasties. Visited Castle Drogo, Chagford (The Fat Mouse for cheese), the Garden House and Princetown. Simmons Park at Okehampton is worth a visit as is Tavistock for the Pannier Market and walk along the canal where the squirrels are very tame....

A beautiful house in an ideal location to explore Devon. We can’t wait to return!

The house is in a great location on the very edge of Dartmoor and in the middle of the delightful village of Lydford which has a wonderful pub, the Castle Inn. Clare, the owner, was in great communication to ensure we had what we needed and there were no problems. Overall, a really lovely place to stay. ...
