This is a very comfortable property and very dog friendly. It is situated withing a small, peaceful village with an excellent pub less than 5 minutes walk away. There is lots of walking from the house and a perfect cycle route nearby. A beautiful area with lots to do even if the weather is less than perfect. The house is exceptionally well equipped with an enclosed garden so ideal for dogs and children....

Beautiful House felt very comfortable and homely. Comfy sofas and chairs, comfy beds. Very spacious inside the house, a gr8 idea would be to build a downstairs toilet for us oldies or youngsters. The owner has thought of most things especially in.the kitchen. Olive oil, condiments, kitchen bits you use daily. Beautiful garden very relaxing holiday....

Overall a lovely stay. Very well equipt with everything imaginable in the kitchen many plates cups bowls saucepans etc etc including bowls for the dogs and poo bags. Recycling system though commendable was a pain could have been simplified with upright bins rather than the boxes stacked with instructions that were a bit confusing at times. Dishwasher washing machine tumble dryer available. Many jigsaws, games, DVDs for adults and children and an old fashioned football game which was great fun. Beds were comfortable towels fluffy, bathroom was quirky with both bath and shower tiled beautifully with tiles in keeping with the property. On suite with shower tiny but adequate. Stair gate useful to restrict dogs and children. Carpeted throughout property, hard flooring on the ground floor would have been a sensible option given that this property was dog friendly however carpets although fairly light looked generally clean. We did vacuum before we left but the vacuum was totally full before we used it and perhaps could have been emptied after its previous use. Garden area was very pleasant and safe for the dogs with table and chairs a couple of sun loungers would have been nice. Property was clean but some areas were a bit dusty and a deeper clean would have given an excellent rating. Location was beautiful perfect for exploring Dartmoor and some attractions were close by. Local pub excellent food and surroundings. Biggest downfall was no local bakery or local shop for odds and ends, nearest shops, takeaways, were about 7 miles away. Forward planning needed for any supplies you might need. Location was for us a winner to see what we wanted to see. ...
