The bright and airy main bedroom has large doors leading to the courtyard garden.
There is parking just outside the gate for two cars.
The courtyard is a peaceful setting and a wonderful spot to catch the afternoon sun or for al fresco dining.
The sitting/dining-room is light and airy.
There are many original features including stone walls and beams but with some modern additions including under-floor heating.
The well-equipped kitchen has all you need to get creative.
Just beside the living area is this lovely compact kitchen.
Your find a complimentary basket of apples so you can have a go at making your own apple juice.
Visit a Sussex farm shop for some lovely local produce.
There is a delightful twin bedroom.
Access to a utility/shower-room.
The double bedroom with double doors leading to the courtyard garden.
You will find an en suite shower-room through the adjoining door.
Enjoy a lazy morning and have breakfast in bed.
Seating outside the main bedroom.
What better place to sit and relax after a busy day exploring the Sussex countryside.
The paddock next to the drive is available for a quick dog walk, barbecue or picnic.
The historic village of West Dean is so pretty.
The Dovecote is the best preserved part of the old farm buildings which date from the Medieval era.

You can visit the shop to purchase some lovely home-made produce including mulberry white wine vinegar, mulberry jams, chutneys and pure apple juice.
It's a walker's and cyclist's paradise, South Downs Way, Cuckmere Haven, Litlington, Exceat - so many paths to choose from!
Lots of steps but the view is oh so worth it.

Explore the coastal path and take in the views along the coastguard cottages at Cuckmere Haven and the iconic Seven Sisters chalk cliffs.
Cuckmere Haven sits in between Seaford and Eastbourne and is renowned for its fabulous views, peace and tranquility.
Views of West Dean village and Friston Forest.
Explore Friston Forest, it has something for everyone including great views of the Cuckmere and South Downs.
Beachy Head lighthouse.
Visit the ruins of Pevensey Castle.
Eastbourne and its wonderful pier.

One star review awarded for the cottages peaceful and beautiful location. The property is completely let down by the poor cleanliness and standard of equipment provided. I would not recommend booking this cottage. Other Classic Cottages are of a much higher standard. The owner needs to change its cleaning company and upgrade some of the cottages facilities and equipment....

This is a lovely property in a great location. The facilities are excellent and having access to a BBQ, dishwasher, freezer, washer and tumble dryer made our stay highly convenient. We walked every day and can recommend using the 13 bus route from the Seven Sisters Visitor Centre to access Beachy Head and walk back along the cliffs. Another fantactic walk is over the fields to Alfriston and if you're feeling like you've got a bit extra in you, further on to Berwick and the excellent Cricketers Arms. When we had a problem with the WiFi it was fixed within the hour. Can't wait to book our return stay!...

Heringaud Barn has everything - pristine appearance and equipment, wonderful setting, sitting outside space with table and chairs and the paddock, safely fenced, for children to play in.

An extremely peaceful and delightful hamlet. Heringaud Barn is light and airy and warm. The bed is very comfortable, and great reading lamps! We really enjoyed our stay.
