The dining terrace is the place for all to gather for alfresco dining.
Bedroom one is comfortable and relaxing and the super-king size bed gives you plenty of room to spread out
With a view like that, it will be difficult to get out of bed in the morning

The cinema room has a whopping 73 inch feature screen
Turn up the heat in the sauna (Part of the spa facility, used by other properties but available for private use, book onsite)
The spa facility also has a steam-room
Even the little spa has great views of Finnygook beach
Cornwall's so called 'forgotten corner' is beautiful
From sunrise to sunset , the view is quite stunning
The south coast offers gentler waters
Enjoy a day at Mount Edgcumbe Park and Country Estate - there's so much to do and will delight young and old alike
The nearby twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are picture perfect
The working fishing town of Looe provides traditional seaside charm where you can try your luck at crab, mackerel or even deep sea shark fishing.

What a wonderful place for a celebratory family get together! We loved the location with easy access to a beach which allows dogs (but check tide times!) The house itself offered varied activities and the pool was the highlight . We never even got in the cars during the long weekend break and glorious weather was the icing on the cake! Thanks for the magical memories....

After reading about the building works going on I was quite concerned but can honestly say we weren’t bothered by any noise throughout our stay. The house is spacious and comfortable plenty of room for our party of 10 adults and one child. We had great weather so made good use of the garden barbecue hot tub and fabulous pool. Wonderful views of the sea. Would highly recommend. ...

Thankes house was great for an extended family weekend get together. Pool and hot tub mean you don’t have to worry about the weather. Will be even nicer when the building work is finished.

Our group of 5 adults and 3 young children enjoyed this large family cottage, with great private facilities including well heated pool & hot tub, games room and cinema room, and easy website booking of additional spa facilities for private use. The sea views from 4 of the bedrooms are fantastic and make up for the more basic decor. WiFi was good but phone signal is unfortunately poor in the whole area. Suggest taking your own portable music speakers and own toiletries. We would certainly rebook if returning to the area....

Wonderful house, with stunning views, although building work is obviously happening to the hotel in front, to the side & behind Thanckes House, we were fortunate that all work had stopped over the festive period, not impacting our stay. Once all built work around is complete I wouldn’t hesitate in booking again....
