Lovely stay - thank you

First real holiday with our daughter (16mths old) and it was reassuring to see the baby features - gates, cot, nappy mattress, poo bin and she loved the bath!

We stayed for two weeks in June and had a good holiday. We appreciated the welcome from Karen, the prosecco in the fridge and the ‘goodies’ laid out on the table. We loved the peaceful rural setting - no traffic noise or planes overhead. Swallows Nest is well furnished, beautifully decorated and equipped with great attention to detail! It’s very spacious with a large living room and two good sized bedrooms, both with impressive en-suite bathrooms and rain showers. The beds are very comfortable. We visited numerous attractions in the area and were particularly impressed by RHS Rosemoor, NT Castle Drogo (the sunken garden is beautiful), Marwood Hill Gardens and walks in the Teign Gorge (lovely location for grey wagtails and dippers). There are a number of good pubs within a 20-minute drive serving great meals, and the Burrow Shop/Café in Exbourne village which serves a very good breakfast for a very reasonable price. Our stay at Swallows Nest was wonderful. The cottage is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, well equipped and certainly feels luxurious. From the very start we felt welcome as the cream tea and prosecco ready in the fridge was lovely! The cottage was easy to find with parking very close by and everyone seemed very friendly. The area is also lovely, we spent time on the beach as well as hiring bikes and cycling around Dartmoor National Park. After a day of activity, Swallows Nest was the perfect cottage to come back to, super comfortable and a nice relaxed place to stay. The cottage feels spacious with a large living room and both bedrooms are really good sizes both with gorgeous en-suites and amazing rainfall showers. Everything about this cottage is great, very clean, the bed is very comfortable with soft sheets, and even a large copper bathtub in the bedroom! Thank you for letting us stay at your gorgeous holiday home and we can't wait to book again in the future! ...

Lovely quiet cottage, a fair drive to coasts but very near Dartmoor
