We had a fabulous stay at this property. The weather was particularly kind to us during our stay , and we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening in the peaceful surroundings. We would love to stay here again.

A beautifully delightful cottage that is wonderfully presented. It has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The welcome gift was very generous and certainly well received. Yvette, the housekeeper was very welcoming and the cottage had been cleaned to a very high standard. Access to the property requires navigating narrow country lanes, but this is to be expected given the rural location. There is no smoking or vaping anywhere on site and you will need to walk off the grounds to the nearest road. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this property. The beautiful copper bath is definitely a wow factor. Thank you so much.

A lovely relaxing place to stay!

A very beautiful property, Amazing hospitality and willingness to make your holiday memorable. Totally worth every penny hopefully will be back.

Very well equipped, good heating system, great beds and bathrooms. A bit remote but quiet. Need an umbrella for the walk from house to carpark.

Ideal, for a complete break from the busy every day life. Stock up with food and drink at the beginning of your stay and relax with walks and relaxing.

We stayed at Swallows Nest for a week in half term and had an amazing time. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout, the bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious with lots of space.

Yvette takes care of everything to make sure arrival is a breeze and talks you through all the amenities and has lots of local recommendations.

The cottage is in an ideal location, an hours drive to the amazing beaches of Bantham and Bigbury in the South and Clovelly (which is a must visit) to the North.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay at Swallows Nest again.

We're thrilled that you had such an amazing stay at Swallows Nest. The location really is perfect for exploring and there are even a few beaches to the north - just 30 mins away. We're looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Julie, Customer Support

The property is amazing we loved staying and was really home from home. There was nothing we could fault and the added extras particularly for the children were a lovely touch. The tee pee in the twin room where the Children slept were an added extra which they loved. The bath in the bedroom was lovely and was a lovely way to soak in after a long day out.

Beautifully appointed cottage, very modern, but with tasteful traces of the old character of the building incorporated in the renovation. Quiet and rural location. Underfloor heating. Log burner. 2 en-suites and an extra toilet downstairs. Clean and well maintained. 2 large bedrooms. Massive free standing copper bath in the one bedroom which is an absolute joy to soak in.

Very peaceful comfortable spacious modernised cottage. Lovely bedrooms and ensuites and a nice south facing garden at the front for relaxing. In easy reach of the North Coast beauty spots and easy to get to Exeter by train from Okehampton . Several supermarkets in Okehampton including Waitrose who de.iver to the cottage. The access roads are very narrow only single track with no passing places but fortunately we didn't meet many other cars ! We really enjoyed our week and the weather was kind

Perfect cottage- well equipped with super comfortable beds and amazing showers. The kitchen has everything you could need for meal prep if eating in. The village shop - 'The Burrow' - also does amazing freshly cooked breakfasts as well as really good coffee and cakes - all served by friendly staff. Walking distance to part of the Tarka Trail. Meldon Reservoir and Meeth Nature Reserve are both a short drive away and ideal for a day's walking or cycling. Idyllic location and cottage.

Lovely quiet cottage, a fair drive to coasts but very near Dartmoor

This is an excellent cottage and a true home from home. The standards of all fixtures and fittings are excellent and the standard of cleanliness and housekeeping also excellent. The comfort and space make this the best cottage we've ever stayed in. It has a luxurious and comfortable feel to it and we will return.

Lovely stay - thank you

First real holiday with our daughter (16mths old) and it was reassuring to see the baby features - gates, cot, nappy mattress, poo bin and she loved the bath!

We stayed for two weeks in June and had a good holiday. We appreciated the welcome from Karen, the prosecco in the fridge and the ‘goodies’ laid out on the table. We loved the peaceful rural setting - no traffic noise or planes overhead.

Swallows Nest is well furnished, beautifully decorated and equipped with great attention to detail! It’s very spacious with a large living room and two good sized bedrooms, both with impressive en-suite bathrooms and rain showers. The beds are very comfortable.

We visited numerous attractions in the area and were particularly impressed by RHS Rosemoor, NT Castle Drogo (the sunken garden is beautiful), Marwood Hill Gardens and walks in the Teign Gorge (lovely location for grey wagtails and dippers).

There are a number of good pubs within a 20-minute drive serving great meals, and the Burrow Shop/Café in Exbourne village which serves a very good breakfast for a very reasonable price.

Our stay at Swallows Nest was wonderful. The cottage is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, well equipped and certainly feels luxurious. From the very start we felt welcome as the cream tea and prosecco ready in the fridge was lovely!

The cottage was easy to find with parking very close by and everyone seemed very friendly. The area is also lovely, we spent time on the beach as well as hiring bikes and cycling around Dartmoor National Park. After a day of activity, Swallows Nest was the perfect cottage to come back to, super comfortable and a nice relaxed place to stay. The cottage feels spacious with a large living room and both bedrooms are really good sizes both with gorgeous en-suites and amazing rainfall showers.

Everything about this cottage is great, very clean, the bed is very comfortable with soft sheets, and even a large copper bathtub in the bedroom!

Thank you for letting us stay at your gorgeous holiday home and we can't wait to book again in the future!
