We enjoyed a week at Swallows Nest in early June in this beautiful and quiet area of West Devon countryside. We found plenty of local walks along footpaths and lanes, with trips further afield to Dartmoor and to the coast. The cottage really is very comfortable and provisioned to a high standard. A very well equipped and comfortable cottage. A great location for exploring, North and South Devon as well as the local area. It is out of the village and the last little bit of road is single track but we only met other traffic once in the week we were there. We found the cottage location very peaceful. For coffee lovers there is a coffee machine in this cottage....

This is lovely cottage which has been thoughtfully designed. The bedrooms are particularly comfortable although the drawer space is a little limited in both. The en-suites are excellent and of course, the copper bath is a fabulous treat. The kitchen is well equipped and offers ample opportunity to cook. It is rural so expect narrow roads but everywhere is easily accessible; we enjoyed trips to Dartmoor, Bude, RHS Rosemoor and Exeter (taking advantage of the train from Okehampton). Okehampton is close by for supermarkets and other shops, Simmonds Park is a lovely place for a stroll and has great playgrounds for kids. ...
