The cottage was very well decorated with some lovely touches. It was in a very peaceful location, quite out of the way and down a single track road, but was a reasonable distance to some nice places to visit. Lydford Gorge, Dartmoor, Bude, the Eden Project. We appreciated the board games and the extra TV in the kids room. The kitchen was well equipped, but quite small for family cooking. It had a small fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine. The nearest supermarket was Okehampton so a little drive away. Overall a lovely cottage though....

We enjoyed a week at Swallows Nest in early June in this beautiful and quiet area of West Devon countryside. We found plenty of local walks along footpaths and lanes, with trips further afield to Dartmoor and to the coast. The cottage really is very comfortable and provisioned to a high standard. No hesitation in recommending to anyone seeking a peaceful holiday away from it all. ...

A very well equipped and comfortable cottage. A great location for exploring, North and South Devon as well as the local area. It is out of the village and the last little bit of road is single track but we only met other traffic once in the week we were there. We found the cottage location very peaceful. For coffee lovers there is a coffee machine in this cottage....
