Oystercatcher is accessed over a short bridge that adapts with the tide (please take care). A ramp leads down to the pontoon where you can launch your kayak at high tide.

Looking back from the houseboat, the parking area is behind the fenced area, just off the road. There is a 30 mile an hour speed restriction here so no rushing traffic to disturb.

Bembridge village is a short walk away. Visit the National Trust windmill. the only surviving one on the island.

The houseboat was just as described. Beautiful location and exceptionally well appointed. Very comfortable bed and lovely furnishings. It’s fantastic watching the tide come and go and seeing all the activity in the harbour. We had 30mph winds which made it very noisy as the tide came in at night but this only lasted about an hour . We would definitely book again ....

Our family of four adults loved our weekend at Oystercatcher. The set up is great: living area upstairs and bedrooms/bathrooms downstairs. It was all very comfortable. The location is perfect - just 10 minutes walk from The Point Bembridge with the fabulous Slomo sauna and various eateries there. And then another 10 minutes up the hill for shop, cafes and pub/restaurants. ...

We had a lovely holiday at Oystercatcher The houseboat is furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable. The boat does bubble and creak when the tide changes but there are earplugs provided for light sleepers Bembridge village has everything you need on your doorstep including good pubs and is a great base to explore the Isle of Wight We would stay here again ...
