It was an absolute privilege to stay in the Officers’ Quarters in South Wales. John and Jane have clearly spent a significant amount of time, care and money restoring such an iconic place, and the attention to detail is fantastic. The way they have decorated and restored it in keeping with the original plans is awesome, and you genuinely feel as though you are becoming part of its history while you are there. We very much appreciated the hot tub, and the hammocks were incredibly relaxing in the evenings. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and equipped with everything we needed, including a mini dishwasher — always helpful when you have kids! There was also a really good range of options on the TV. It really did feel like a home from home, albeit one from the 1940s! John and Jane were brilliant hosts: never overbearing, but checking in to make sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. We also really appreciated John taking the time to give us a tour of the other areas of the building that he is still gradually restoring. It is wonderful to see such an important piece of our Second World War history being preserved and brought back to life with so much care and respect. Staying there felt genuinely special. There is also so much to do in the surrounding area, with Pembroke Castle, Tenby and some absolutely stunning beaches along this stretch of coastline. I may not be popular for saying this, but I genuinely thought some of the beaches here were significantly better than those we have visited in Cornwall! The whole area is beautiful and well worth exploring. I would totally recommend both the Officers’ Quarters and St Brides Cottage to anyone looking for somewhere a little different, with genuine history, character and fantastic surroundings. Thank you so much to John, Jane and everyone involved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, feel very fortunate to have experienced such a remarkable place, and would happily return....

We had a wonderful stay at this recently upgraded 1940s radar station, full of history & decorated in 1940s style & artefacts. Everything was clean & comfortable. The hammocks, hot tub & BBQ facilities were great. There is a lot of space here inside & outside. There are wonderful, clean beaches & crystal clear water nearby. I highly recommend a stay here ...

If you’re a history buff and would like to learn more about WWII, and the Battle of Britain then this is the place to stay. Lovingly restored by the owners (ongoing project), visitors can soak up the unique atmosphere in the restored accommodation of a 1940’s RAF radar station. Comfortable, and clean, helpful owners, lovely location near beautiful coastline and beaches. A truly unique experience!...
