A lovely barn conversion, very comfortable. All Amenities needed are available. Quiet and secluded, a great getaway.

As we were only using the accommodation as a base and not for exploring the area I cannot comment on the facilities that the area had to offer. We used food shops in Chard which were very handy. The welcome tray was much appreciated at the end of a long and wet journey in early November....

We have stayed at many holiday cottages and please let the owner know that this was probably the best we have stayed at, everything was excellent quality, everything we needed was there, the most comfortable beds we have slept in and loads of draws and a wardrobe with plenty of hangers which isn't always the case! We will definitely be back....

The Apple Press is a bautiful property, with luxurious finishes throughout. Spacious living accommodation, with ample space for 3 generations. Super comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms and a wonderfully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly hope for. Chard is a short drive away, with lots of amenities and a wonderful farm shop (Barleymows) well worth a visit to stock up on fresh local produce and yummy cakes. The property is in a peaceful, idilic location and it has been a real treat to spend our holiday here. ...

Excellent accommodation that feels luxurious due to the quality furniture and bed linens etc and we couldn't fault the cleanliness. The Apple Press is light and spacious and we were warm and cosy enough. We loved the huge dining table that allowed us to set up a large jigsaw at one end and still have loads of room left for dining. The owners Jon and Amanda had left us a welcome tray of goodies and fresh milk in the fridge which was much appreciated. Cut fresh flowers - beautiful seasonal daffodils were also in the property. The location at the end of a track is very peaceful but handy for reaching the Jurassic and Devon coastline or for heading North to explore Somerset. Wells with it's beautiful cathedral is only an hour away and has some nice shops to browse round and the shopping outlet at Street is even nearer! Lyme Regis, a favourite of ours, is only 25 mins away. Forde Abbey House and Gardens - very local - are worth a visit. We also ate at the Cotley Inn, as a previous reviewer did, and our meals were excellent. The Apple Press didn't disappoint in any way and we loved our stay. Would happily return and recommend to others....
